battinStevenĀ Battin is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Notre Dame. He received his PhD in systematic theology at Notre Dame in 2014. He is presently working on a book entitled “Intercommunal Ecclesiology,” which explores the the way behavioral and psychological processes associated with intergroup dynamics have affected theological perspectives on the Church, and conversely, how theological perspectives on the Church have encouraged or dissuaded ecclesial participation in violent intergroup conflict. His additional research focuses on placing theology in conversation with decolonial, indigenous, and post-capitalist movements.
